Jeff began working as assistant horticulturist at Parrot Jungle in 1975 during second year of college. Parrot Jungle was a privately owned tropical theme park.
When the park was sold in 1988, he became the director of horticulture. He was responsible for the rebuilding and relandscaping of the park in 1992 after Hurricane Andrew.
The park was relocated to a completely new site in Miami opening in 2002. He was responsible for landscaping and hardscape on the 18 acre site. He retired from this park in 2014.
Now he is president of my own consulting company, Tropical Designs of Florida. He works with architects and developers worldwide assisting in tropical plant, tree, and animal management issues.
